Last Fall, I received a random request from a marketing firm to create artwork that would represent global connectivity. The style they had in mind wasn't at all something I normally do, and I let them know immediately that I would not be able to come close to the example they sent me. They asked me to submit something in my own style—which I did, and which they promptly rejected.
This week I decided to finish developing the image. I haven't worked much with 3D mapping, so I enjoyed the challenge of disguising the hard edges and trying to create a sense of depth in the finished image.
